I am a children’s book author and illustrator. I love using simple, rhythmic text and sweet, detailed illustrations to captivate the hearts of young readers. I live in Northern Colorado with my husband, three children, and sweeter-than-sugar chocolate lab.  When I am not painting and writing, you will find me teaching elementary art, exploring nature, and enjoying time with my family.

 

Some of my favorite things are a warm cup of coffee drank slowly on a lazy Saturday morning (if only those existed…I have three kids!), a savory breakfast burrito cooked on my camp stove while camping in the mountains,  a big breath of cool air on the peak of a mountain hike, my classroom drying rack filled with students’ colorful creations, movie night snuggles with my kids, and munching on Reese’s Pieces while playing Settlers of Catan with my grown-up family members after the kids go to bed.
